Concord, NH, December 12, 2007 – MicroCredit-NH and the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund are pleased to announce that David Deziel of Manchester has been hired to serve as MicroCredit-NH Director. MicroCredit-NH is a statewide, microbusiness development program managed by the Loan Fund, a non-profit organization.
Deziel brings experience in marketing and financial services for both non-profit and for-profit organizations, with a specialty in consulting and project management. He is also the former owner of a full-service marketing firm. Deziel comes to MicroCredit-NH from Consumer Credit Counseling Service NH-VT, where he served as Director of Communication and Development.
“I’m excited to be joining a program with such a strong track record of service to New Hampshire’s microenterprises,” said Deziel. “These businesses often struggle to obtain strategic business skills, access to markets and the capital necessary to grow and thrive. MicroCredit-NH delivers these resources to microenterprises statewide, and I look forward to helping the program meet their evolving needs. ”
As MicroCredit-NH Director, Deziel will be responsible for managing the development of the program, including planning, evaluation, finances and grant opportunities. He will also serve as MicroCredit-NH spokesperson and will work closely with program partners and staff members.
“David’s experience as an entrepreneur, along with his financial and marketing talents, will be a great benefit to the MicroCredit-NH program,” said Julie Eades, President of the Loan Fund. “On behalf of the Loan Fund staff, we are looking forward to working with him.”
Deziel holds a MBA, with concentrations in Marketing and Finance, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He earned a BA in Political Science, with a Minor in Community Development, from the University of New Hampshire, Durham and is a graduate of the Leadership Greater Manchester Program. Deziel is a board member of the NH JumpStart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.
