Former Capt. Jean-Luc Picard "Patrick Stewart" now Plays Macbeth
Greg Brown

February 11, 2008

London: Patrick Stewart, 67, is acting in a stage production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Trekkies are coming to see Stewart perform, because Stewart played Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Said Stewart: "I meet these people afterwards. I get letters from them and see them at the stage door.

And they say, 'I've never seen Shakespeare before, I didn't think I'd understand it, but it was wonderful and I can't wait to come back.'”
