Clarence Garrett, age 87, Just Graduated from U of WI-Milwaukee
Greg Brown

December 19, 2007

Milwaukee, WI: At age 87, Clarence Garrett just graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Garrett said: "After all my children went to college ... I said, 'Why shouldn't I?' And I have loved it ever since. … I don't know why the young people don't understand since their life is ahead of them, instead of behind them."

Garrett graduated from the University’s College of Letters and Science. In the attached photo, Garrett is holding up his cane. Classmates chose Garrett to lead them into the arena.
